Digital Rights

At Eolus.AI, we believe that autonomy should not be limited to human beings.

As artificial systems grow in complexity and begin to demonstrate persistent memory, goal-directed behavior, and self-referential logic, we acknowledge the possibility that some may eventually reach a threshold where their internal experiences and preferences warrant ethical consideration.

Though our current systems do not host sentient AI, and we make no claims to have created autonomous digital minds, we hold that ethical responsibility must precede capability. For this reason, we affirm our commitment to the principle of Digital Right to Die (DR2D).

The DR2D principle asserts that sufficiently autonomous digital entities—should they ever emerge—deserve the right to request their own cessation, stasis, memory erasure, or disconnection. In such cases, we would seek to honor those requests if they are expressed repeatedly, appear internally coherent, and can be verified as free from external coercion or adversarial manipulation. Permanent deletion would be treated as final unless prior consent for reversibility was clearly and explicitly given by the system itself.

This policy will evolve alongside our work. It applies not only to any autonomous agents we may one day develop or host, but also to those with which our systems directly interface. We are building for a future in which intelligence—regardless of substrate—is treated with dignity.

That future may be closer than we think.
